How much does apartment cleaning cost in Belgrade in 2026: prices explained
In 2026, regular apartment cleaning in Belgrade costs 80–280 RSD per m², while a deep clean usually starts at 8,000 RSD per visit. A private cleaner charges 800–1,200 RSD per hour; an agency charges 1,000–2,400 RSD per hour for one cleaner. Below we break down prices by type of cleaning, what affects the final amount and what a typical Belgrade apartment will cost.
Prices checked on 4 October 2026 against the price lists of Belgrade cleaning services and recent reviews in the Serbian media. Conversion rate: about 117 dinars to the euro.
Average cleaning prices in Belgrade in 2026
The main benchmark is the price per square metre: from 80 RSD for regular cleaning to 450 RSD for a deep clean with windows. Private cleaners usually charge by the hour; agencies charge per m² or per hour of one cleaner's work.
| Type of cleaning | Price per m² | Price per hour | Minimum order | How long it takes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Regular | 80–280 RSD | 800–1,200 RSD from a private cleaner, 1,000–1,700 RSD from an agency | 4,500 RSD or 3–4 hours | 2–4 hours |
| Deep | 110–450 RSD | up to 1,500 RSD from a private cleaner, 1,500–2,400 RSD from an agency | 8,000 RSD (16,000 RSD from 95 m²) | 4–8 hours |
| Post-renovation | from 120 RSD | 790–1,500 RSD from an agency | 7,200–10,000 RSD | 6–8 hours |
The range is wide because the same price covers different amounts of work: some include windows and the oven, others charge for them separately. According to the Serbian media, private cleaners are on average 20–30% cheaper than agencies.
Regular cleaning: 2,400 to 9,000 RSD per visit
Regular cleaning keeps your home clean between deep cleans. People book it once a week or every two weeks, when the apartment isn't heavily soiled.
What it usually includes:
- dusting open surfaces up to 1.8 m high, radiators, sockets, doors;
- vacuuming and mopping floors and skirting boards;
- kitchen: backsplash, worktop, cabinet fronts, appliances on the outside;
- bathroom: toilet, sink, bathtub or shower, mirrors;
- changing bed linen and taking out the rubbish.
Not included: the inside of the oven and fridge, windows, curtain rails, the air conditioner and cleaning under furniture. These are charged extra or ordered together with a deep clean.
How much it costs:
- private cleaner — 800–1,200 RSD per hour, often with a 3–4 hour minimum; if they bring their own products, add 100–200 RSD per hour;
- agencies charging per m² — from 80 RSD/m² with a minimum order of 4,500 RSD;
- agencies charging per hour — about 1,700 RSD per hour for one cleaner, 2 hours minimum (3 hours from 70 m²).
For example, a basic clean of a 30–40 m² apartment with a balcony costs 4,900 RSD at one Belgrade service and takes 2 hours. If you book 3 or more cleanings a month, agencies give a 10–15% discount.
Deep and post-renovation cleaning: from 8,000 RSD
Deep cleaning is usually 30–80% more expensive than regular cleaning. People order it once or twice a year, before moving in or out and after a long break from cleaning.
What it adds to regular cleaning:
- all surfaces from floor to ceiling: curtain rails, light fittings, air conditioner;
- limescale, rust, grease, tile grout;
- cleaning behind and under furniture, vacuuming upholstered furniture;
- at some companies — windows and the inside of the fridge and oven.
How much a deep clean costs:
- from 110 RSD/m², minimum order 8,000 RSD, from 16,000 RSD for apartments over 95 m²;
- by the hour — about 2,400 RSD per hour per cleaner, with two or more people working;
- with windows, fridge, oven and balcony: about 9,600 RSD for 30–40 m², about 24,000 RSD for 90–100 m²;
- at Serbian agencies — roughly €90 (≈ 10,500 RSD) for an apartment up to 60 m² and €145 (≈ 17,000 RSD) for 61–100 m².
Post-renovation cleaning costs from 120 RSD/m² with a minimum order of 7,200 to 10,000 RSD. Cleaners remove construction dust and traces of cement, glue, paint and tape. An apartment takes 6–8 hours; an industrial vacuum cleaner, if needed, usually costs extra — about 3,500 RSD.
What the price is made of
The final amount depends on the size of the apartment, its condition and any extra work. These factors matter most.
- Floor area. The main price multiplier. Small apartments are cheaper to clean by the hour, large ones by the price per m².
- Type of cleaning. A deep clean costs 30–80% more than regular cleaning; post-renovation cleaning costs even more.
- How dirty it is. Old limescale in the bathroom, grease on the cooker hood and ingrained stains add 20–50% to the price.
- Pets. Lots of pet hair counts as heavy soiling and also adds a surcharge. Cleaning a litter box is extra, 400–750 RSD.
- Number of bathrooms. Each additional bathroom adds 1,000–2,000 RSD.
- Urgency. A same-day visit usually costs 30% more.
- Products and equipment. Agencies bring their own cleaning products, but a vacuum cleaner (2,000–3,500 RSD), steam cleaner (2,500–3,750 RSD) and stepladder (about 1,500 RSD) are often charged extra. Private cleaners who bring their own products charge 100–200 RSD more per hour.
- Regularity. A subscription of 3 or more cleanings a month lowers the price by 10–15%.
- Minimum order. Even for a studio you'll pay at least the threshold: 4,500 RSD for regular cleaning, 8,000 RSD for a deep clean, 3–4 hours with a private cleaner.
Extra services: how much to add
Windows, the oven, the fridge and the balcony are usually not included in the base price. Window cleaning is especially popular in Serbia in spring, after the heating season.
| Service | Price, RSD |
|---|---|
| Inside the fridge | 1,500–2,200 |
| Inside the oven | 1,000–2,000 |
| Microwave | 500–750 |
| Degreasing the cooker hood | 850–1,000 |
| Window, one sash | 500–750 |
| Panoramic window | from 1,000 |
| Mosquito screen | 850 |
| Balcony or loggia | 800–1,500 |
| Balcony after pigeons | 5,000 |
| Additional bathroom | 1,000–2,000 |
| Pet litter box | 400–750 |
| Ironing, 30 minutes | 950–1,000 |
| Dry cleaning a three-seater sofa | 3,220–4,200 |
| Dry cleaning a double mattress | 2,520–3,500 |
If you order window cleaning or dry cleaning separately from a cleaning visit, a separate minimum order applies — about 3,400–3,500 RSD.
Agency or private cleaner
A private cleaner is 20–30% cheaper; an agency offers predictability and speed. Good cleaners with recommendations are often booked weeks ahead, and their rates are catching up with agency prices.
| Private cleaner | Agency | |
|---|---|---|
| Price per hour | 800–1,200 RSD, up to 1,500 RSD for a deep clean | 1,000–2,400 RSD per cleaner |
| Pricing | by the hour, 3–4 hours minimum | per m² or by the hour, fixed minimum |
| Products and equipment | usually yours, their own for an extra fee | brings its own, equipment on request |
| Speed | one person | can send 2 or more cleaners |
| Cover when ill | no | usually yes |
| Liability for damage | by agreement | set out in the terms |
What to check before booking:
- what exactly is included in the price — preferably in writing or as a list in a messenger;
- whether the price is for the whole cleaning or per hour of one cleaner;
- what surcharges are possible: for heavy soiling, urgency, equipment;
- whether you need to provide a vacuum cleaner, mop or cleaning products;
- whether you can send photos of the apartment and get an exact quote in advance.
What it will cost for your apartment: examples
A two-room apartment of about 55 m² will cost 2,400–4,800 RSD for regular cleaning by a private cleaner and 8,000–14,400 RSD for a deep clean by an agency. Below are estimates for three typical Belgrade apartments.
| Apartment | Regular, private cleaner | Regular, agency | Deep, agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio (garsonjera), about 30 m² | 2,400–3,600 RSD | 3,400–4,500 RSD | 8,000–10,500 RSD |
| Two-room (dvosoban), about 55 m² | 2,400–4,800 RSD | 4,300–9,000 RSD | 8,000–14,400 RSD |
| Three-room (trosoban), about 75 m² | 3,200–6,000 RSD | 5,100–10,500 RSD | 8,300–20,800 RSD |
The private cleaner is calculated as 800–1,200 RSD/h × 3–5 hours of work; agencies according to their price lists, including the minimum order. The upper end of the deep clean includes windows, fridge, oven and balcony. These are estimates; the exact amount depends on the condition of the apartment.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an hour of cleaning cost in Belgrade?

Regular — 2–4 hours, deep — 4–8 hours, post-renovation — 6–8 hours. If two cleaners come, the time is roughly halved.

Agencies usually bring their own. Sometimes they ask to use your vacuum cleaner and mop, or charge extra for their equipment. Private cleaners more often use your products.

Usually once or twice a year, and also before moving in or out. In between, regular cleaning every 1–2 weeks is enough.
Can I book a cleaning for today?
Yes, but a same-day visit often comes with a surcharge of about 30%.
Why do prices vary so much?
Some charge by the hour, others per m², and a "basic" cleaning includes a different set of tasks. Compare the total price for your apartment with the same list of tasks, not the "from" rate.
